ONIPOKIA RENEWS BID FOR PARAMOUNT STATUS IN YEWA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL VIS A VIS THE OLOFIN OF ADO AND ERIKITI KINGDOMS NEXUS

ONIPOKIA RENEWS BID FOR   PARAMOUNT STATUS IN YEWA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL VIS A VIS  THE OLOFIN OF ADO AND ERIKITI  KINGDOMS NEXUS. This write up is a multi disciplinary perspective using history, social sciences and law to cross cultural studies on  Awori-Anago Kingdoms of Ado and Ipokia in Ogun State. The take off point is fall out from  the business mogul recently installed as the Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, HRM Oba Isa Olaniyan .And his kinsmen in the nerve centre of Anagos settlement in the Yewa-Awori flank of  Ogun West area of Ogun State renewing  the old agitation  to be recognised by the Ogun State Government as a Paramount Ruler in the State. It would be recalled that the immediate past Onipokia of blessed memory, HRM Oba Raufu  Adeole, fiercely contested to be the paramount ruler of Yewaland wjhich he lost. But was persuaded by leading politicians and retired military cum bureaucrats  to support the  Yewa Agenda t...
OBSERVATION  ON THE LATEST WRITE UP BY CHIEF ALHAJI LATEEF   SAKA , THE ASOJU OLOTA OF UNVERSE ( DIASPORA.) TITLED " THE BIRTH ERA OF UNITY AMONG OUR ROYAL FATHERS IN OGUN STATE.." What a  beautiful write up !! To consolidate the laudable peace initiative and /or consensus approach in wielding fractured interests together . It's also important that we use our biros to strengthen the processes  as opposed to exacerbating subtle simmering conflicts which almost led us to precipe in recent times If others aren't talking ,we in Ado Kingdom as equal partner in the Awori Agenda gets our psyche injured ..If I may ask this pertinent question,Chief, ,how did  you arrive at the position describing Ota and Iseri Olofin as the two most ancient Awori Kingdoms ? In as much that I won't join issues with you as to your liberty to say or write within the ambit of law , it's equally important that there are other ancient Awori  enclaves not only in Ogun but also i...

The Oba of Ado and/or the Olofin of Ado-Odo is a Distinct Monarch

THE OBA OF ADO AND/OR THE OLOFIN OF ADO ODO IS A DISTINCT  MONARCH .The Ado Kingdom  Princes and Princesses and other aggrieved  interests groups have met on ranging controversies on the Obaship institution as it affects other neighbouring communities .Our people are unhappy and as well fuming with anger.Having waited for retraction in vain,we humbly believe as law abiding citizens to stoutly defend the OLOFIN ADIMULA   ODUA HERITAGE without fear  or favour  for posterity ..Delay defeats Equity  and we hereby exhibit vigilance  having listened   to the narratives by one of our revered monarchs ,HRM ,Oba Prof,OBALANLEGE ,Abdul Kabir Adeyemi ,Lanlege Ekun 11,the  Olota of Ota  Kingdom ,Aworiland ,Ogun State is  known for his  erudition, as a seasoned scholar .  It is my considered opinion that on behalf of the Awori people and Awori land of Lagos and Ogun States, it is imperative we make contributions to the amendment to the Nigerian Constitution as proposed by the 9th National Assembly. To kickstart the process I am putting forward the salient issues of the "Awori Position to the National Political Reforms Conference of 2005" for the consideration of the house and necessary action on the subject matter. Research study of the Ultimatics Institute at the University of Lagos identified the Aworis of the Southwest Nigeria as being at the bottom of global socio-economic segregation process. The Aworis are the worst hit by poverty and underdevelopment. The Awori settlements in reference are spread in Lagos State and parts of Ogun State. They include Ikeja, Mushin, Itire, Isolo, Ejigbo, Ilasamaja, Ewu titun, Ikotun, Ijegun, Igando, Egbe, Akesan, Egan, Iseri-Osun, Agege, Oto, Ijanikin, Isashi, Ojo, Imeke, Ilado, Ojokoro, Iju, Ifako, Ogba,...
